Here’s the trailer for Ramona and Beezus. I have really fond memories of Beverly Cleary’s Ramona books so decided to compile a round up of BELOVED CHILDREN’S BOOKS as MOVIE TRAILERS round up to make you remember your childhood and to have a little bit of a poll. So the LA Times has a story about the “green” practices on the set of the film Valentine’s Day. (Reusable water bottles! Solar panels!)

But the fun part was the very blind-item-y, “Only one star had to be asked not to show up in a limo,” remark.

Valentine’s Day has a freaking ridiculous ensemble cast. One of those “every actor/actress ever” projects where it is nobody’s fault that the film is terrible and yet nobody really gets to stand out, either.

Romantic Comedies, aka Chick Flicks, are very much “what you see is what you get” kinds of movies. So when you see a romantic comedy trailer, you generally have seen the entire movie. There is literally no other reason to watch, unless you’re hungover and it is on TBS.

Very rarely you get a film that subverts the genre. Off the top of my head, I can think of about… one. My Best Friend’s Wedding is a romantic comedy told from the perspective of the wrong woman, so she doesn’t end up with the guy at the end. I’m sure there might be a few others but that’s not what this little blog post of video glory is about, now is it.

Here are a few RomCom2010 trailers for your viewing and SPOILERing pleasure. You might disagree with my verdicts and heck, I could even be wrong, but I’m pretty sure I’m at least going to be 75% correct on this and we all now that that’s at least a pass. (more…)
